Purpose

The reason I took this photo was for my Portrait Photography class. The idea was to capture a photo with "slim" lighting. I really liked the shot so I also entered it into a photo gallery.
Target Audience

The target audience is people who may be looking to get portraits done such as professional head shots, glamour shots, or standard portraiture.
Problem Solving

The obstacles that arose with this photo shoot were from just an overall inexperience of doing portraiture. I hadn't worked with a model before doing this shot so it really created a lot of learning opportunities including working in a timely manner, focusing on the models needs, and communicating in a friendly and affective tone.
Portrait Photography

Equipment used: Canon Rebel T5, 18-55 mm lens, light diffusers, and
Flashpoint lights.
The entire photoshoot took around two hours, but this specific shot took about twenty minutes to capture.

Software: Adobe Photoshop
Overall it took about an hour to completely edit this photo to achieve the tone I wanted it to.

Camera Settings F5.6 1/40 ISO 400
Changes made
The changes that were made include editing a few blemishes the model didn't want, removing stray hairs, adding more emphasis to the eyes using a light/faded gaussian blur, transforming the photo to black and white, replacing the background, cropping the image, and darkening the photo.
